Excel Add-in

The Excel Add-In enables users to seamlessly access and retrieve data from the Consumer API directly within Microsoft Excel using predefined formulas. Users can request data for individual fields or cells, access historical data based on specified date ranges or offsets, and obtain time series data by providing inputs such as namespace, entity, identifier, and batch within the formula.

Installation

Installation Steps

Command for silent installation:

msiexec /L*V "install.log" /i "IHSMExcel6_IHSMExcelServer/6.18.0.msi" /quiet OFFICE16=x64

(use x64 for 64 bit & x86 for 32 bit of MS-office in the above command)

install.log mentioned in the command is the output file where installation logs are generated (and can be viewed).

Run the command from the directory where the MSI file is present.

S&P Global Data Excel Add-In for MS Excel can be directly installed in your system or packaged. S&P Global Data Excel Add-In for MS Excel will deliver steaming S&P Global Data

All datasets available in Rest API service are supported for the Excel Add-in channel, User can reach out to S&P Global customer care <customercare@spglobal.com> for entitlements enablement.
